320: Modeling Organizational Structures in COmanage

When using COmanage with your organization or collaboration, the people that you have registered will naturally fall into groups, perhaps by organizational unit, project team, or the activities that a group of people can do. In this lesson, you will learn how these structures are modeled within COmanage and understand which structures to use to meet your needs.

    Collaborative Organizations, what they are and how they are used. (55 min)

  • 2. Collaborative Organization Units (COUs)

    COUs are major subgroups of COs. When to use them and how to set them up. (30 min)

  • 3. About CO Groups

    Groups are important units for configuring permissions, email lists, and provisioning. We will learn how to structure them. (55 min)

  • 4. About CO Departments

    In this section we will talk about the role of departments in COmanage. At the end of the lesson we will review the Organizational structures we have learned about, and review how this organizational model fits with the person models we discussed in the previous lesson. (40 min)
